... services and sermons recorded at Christ Church
This page includes some of the sermons/addresses (and some complete services too!) recorded at Christ Church. The recordings are usually made LIVE using a single camera, so some background and congregational noise IS often audible from time to time - and even occasional pigeons and sirens, which can be quite noisy!! - so your volume controls may need to be adjusted. Because much of the Eucharist takes place against the background of the magnificent Sanctuary Window, the quality of the lighting in the recordings can sometimes be difficult to manage - especially on very bright mornings when the morning sun streams into the Sanctuary.... but this recording difficulty is a small price to pay for the beauty of the Sanctuary Window asthe background to our services.
The recordings of full Eucharist Services begin with the opening Prayers, and continue through the usual service including the appointed Readings, the Psalm (if used, and usually spoken), the Gospel, the Sermon, the Intercessions, and the Blessing and Dismissal that concludes the service. Recordings of part Services usually include the Readings, the Gospel and the sermon presented by the Celebrant for the particular Service. Just click on any service below that you'd like to watch or hear again. The most recent recordings are at the TOP of the listing below; some earlier sermons are available to watch here.
