The Ordination as Priest of rev Pam Kisbee, St Paul's Cathedral, 29th November 2008
More than a thousand people from across Victoria and interstate gathered at St Paul's Cathedral on the morning of 29th November 2008 to share in the service of Ordination of Priests for 16 candidates, including Rev Pam Kisbee. What a joyful and inspirational celebration it was! The pictures here don't really do justice to this wonderful service... but perhaps the words of the final hymn are apt ...
'Lord, you give the great commission:
'Heal the sick and preach the word.'
lest the Church neglect its mission,
and the gospel go unheard,
help us witness to your purpose
with renewed integrity;
with the Spirit's gifts empower us
for the work of ministry.'
...and next morning at Christ Church, Rev Pam was Celebrant at the 8am Eucharist.... the congregation - included many of the Parishioners who had been at the Ordination - joining together with Rev Pam to celebrate this the start of the next chapter of her ministry .....
